Spaghetti

Boil 450g spaghetti in salted water according to the time required mentioned on the box or packet. Drain excess water when it is boiled and run cold water through it. Apply a little amount of oil on it.

Beef Salan

Beef Salan is one of the most important things needed to complete this dish. Its ingredients are

  • Onion 250 g
  • Tomatoes250 g
  • Beef cubes 500 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili 3 tbsp.
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp.
  • All spice powder ½ tsp.
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp.
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp.
  • Oil ½ cup

You can increase or decrease amount of any ingredient as per your requirement, especially onions and tomatoes for more gravy.

Now let us see how to cook it.

  1. Chop onions and fry in oil until light golden.
  2. Add chopped tomatoes in it and cover the pan for few minutes until tomatoes re soft.
  3. Add beef in it along with ginger garlic paste and cover the lid.
  4. When beef is half done, add all other spices and do bhunai that is continues stirring to blend onions and tomatoes in the form of gravy.
  5. Cook until beef is tender. Keep adding water if needed, and when it is ready, there should be no traces of water in it.

Curry

Ingredients for curry are:

  1. Yogurt 250 g
  2. Besan 5 to 6 tbsp.
  3. Tomatoes 3
  4. Garlic cloves 2
  5. Green chills 4 to 5
  6. Ground coconut 2 tbsp.
  7. Turmeric ½ tsp.
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Oil 2 tsp.
  10. Curry leaves 6 to 7
  11. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp.

Now cooking instructions for curry.

  • Blend all the ingredients with water as per requirement in a food processor and make it a liquid.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add ginger garlic paste and curry leaves in it. Fry for a minute and then add the blended mixture. Add more water so that it’s all watery.
  • Keep stirring and let it cook on high flame.
  • Once it comes to boil, slow down the flame and leave it on the stove until the watery moisture thickens to the form of curry.

Tomato Chutni

Ingredients

  1. Tomatoes 125 g
  2. Oil 2 tsp.
  3. Red chili powder 2 tsp.
  4. Salt to taste

How to cook

  • Chop tomatoes finely and put them in a pan. Add all three ingredients in it and let cook till tomatoes soften.
  • Keep pressing tomatoes with wooden spoon time to time.

Teen masala

Ingredients

  1. Round red pepper
  2. Coriander seeds
  3. Cumin

How to make

  • Take all three things in same ratio and roast in pan until crisp and hard enough, but not burnt.
  • Cool and blend in a food processor without water.

This 3 masala can be used other than Khousey too. You can add them in vegies, meats, fish or anything you want to have an aroma like no other.

Fried ground red chili

Ingredients

  1. Oil ½ cup
  2. Ground red chili 6 tbsp.

How to cook

  • Heat oil and add this ground red chili in it.
  • Cook until color of chili changes.
  • Remember there should be less oil and more chili in the moisture.

You can use leftover mixture in anything you cook.

When serving Khousey to your guests, serve these things separately in bowls.
